What else did they fake? Beijing Pt. 2
Well, it appears that the Chinese pulled a few more tricks during the Beijing opening ceremonies. An article by the LA Times reports that not only did the 9 year old Lin Miaoke lip-synch, but she didn’t even know she was going to be lip-synching. Event organizers ended up dubbing Yang Peiyi’s voice over Lin Miaoke without ever giving Lin the heads up. What else did they fake, well how about the stunning fireworks show …
Although, the firework displays at the Birds Nest were real, Chinese officials and eye-witnesses confirmed that there were no spectacular footprint fireworks marching towards the stadium. The truth, the event organizers were afraid that no one would even see the fireworks through all of the smog and air pollution.
The visual effects team for the opening ceremonies meticulously planned and created the 55 second sequence over a period of a year with 28 footprints across Beijing and Tienanmen Square and even created the hazy around the display to mimic the smog. They also spared no expense by even incorporating a slight camera shake to give the effect of the helicopter.
We’ve got to give the Chinese some credit, the digital fireworks footprints still captured our attention and made us feel like we were walking into the Bird’s Nest along with the athletes.

This situation is like telling me that every magician in this world must perform a true magic and can’t fake it.
Tell that to David Copperfield.
Then why don’t start a debate forcing those Magicians to perform a true magic.
Get real people…
People who bought the ticket and paid thousand of $ expect to see a flawless and great performance. And China did it! This is A BIG EVENT and there is absolutely zero tolerance for error! They spend $ 40 billion , you better be damn sure to make it work and flawless.
I give full credit for the Chinese Government for all the effort to produced probable the best ever Olympic ceremony.
So what is they use both girls? fake fireworks? etc etc… so? The girls don’t have problem with it, they agreed to do their part for the ceremony. The government did not force the girls to do it or to make it happen. So? As long as those girls were willing to do it in the best of the country, I don’t see a problem with that. This would have been a different matter if they were forced to do it.
Speaking of the girls at GYM… USA lost against China in Gym. And people started to blaming that the chinese team are all underage. LOL… I found this very funny. I don’t even think the USA performed that well during the game.
They should concentrate on the game and not worrying about how old each of those girl int he Chinese team. if you LOST then accept it.
This is also like telling me hmm maybe Michael Phelps is using drug, illegal swimsuit, etc etc in order for him to win. Bull shit… I think he is done a very superb performance and no one complained about him. / Questioned his legality.
I think people are just jealous with the way how China was able to pull off the best opening ceremony for Olympic ever. And started making research on every little tiny mistakes that they can find to make the China bad.
This opening ceremony is a work of art. A TEAM work from every department and personnel. Therefore, a full 100% credit should be given to all of them, whether, you are singing or not singing, even to cleaning crew and security guard!
Good job China…. By the way I am not Anti US and I live in US. But I just find these whole faking situation is really funny.
Don’t get me wrong, the Beijing opening ceremonies WAS a work of art. The event organizers deserve all the credit for producing one of the most spectacular multimedia presentation of all time. The vision and underlining amount of coordination of 15,000 performers is unprecedented. It a stunning integration of art, performance, audio and media!
As far as the athletics go, only time will tell to see who is the worlds best. The Olympics is the greatest collection of cultures under one roof sharing the same passion for sports and athleticism that normally gets shadowed by our chaotic and war torn world.
wow the beijing opening ceremonies was great, better than great. yes the foot prints werent real but they were trying to make it look good for the hold world and they did that.
the one thing i cant get past is the little gurl and her fake singing, and them say that the real girl isnt pretty enough. what a load of bull, and that just proves that this world is all about beauty. was kind of messege are we giving to the childern of this day and age if the real beijing singer doesnt stand up. and who say shes not cute, i sure think she is!!!
How can you accept fake??? Some my frinds in China told me “it was only small fake” ha ha ha. I live in China and I know … China is all around fake, not small.
